“Spam TV” by Christine Vincent
6″ x 6″ fabric collage
This is the perfect patch to be stitched into the quilt of this blog. Aesthetics that evoke retro forms of media/communication/expression. The iconography of the spam label and television cut-out play with modern symbols in a way that can make the mass-produced personal. A first impression from someone from Hawaiʻi who studies media?… IDENTITY (and quite fitting for a quilt in the traditional sense).
